Mucinex Review When Used to Loosen Up Mucus in the Throat
Will Mucinex Help You Cough Up Mucus Plugs?
After bringing home my purchase this is what I found out about Mucinex. Mucinex's main ingredient is guaifenesin at 600mg per a tablet. Guaifenesin is an expectorant and helps loosen up mucus build up. The inactive ingredients are as follows carbomer 934P, NF, FD&C blue #1 aluminum lake, hypromellose, USP, magnesium stearate, NF, microcrystalline cellulose, NF and sodium starch glycolate, NF. Mucinex is for adults and children 12 years old and older. When taking mucinex you shouldn't crush, chew or break the tablets. Drink plenty of water while taking this product in order for it to work correctly. Dosing is one or two tablets every twelve hours and don't exceed four tablets in a twenty four hour period. Before using you should ask your doctor if it's ok to use Mucinex if you have the following conditions asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema and smoking. Also ask the doctor if you have a cough and have too much mucus. The best bet would be to ask your doctor before using this medication. More information on this product visit mucinex.com
I started mucinex immediately on arriving home from the store. The blue and white pills had an indescribable taste as I washed them down with a large glass of water. The taste was not bad; it's just that I can't describe it. I sat down and waited to see if I would be able to cough up this stubborn mucus in my throat. After about an hour I, felt it loosing up and with one cough I was able to get the mucus plug up without effort. Finally I was able to get rid of this stubborn mucus in my throat. I was so relieved that I actually found a product that will work on this problem. I would recommend this product to anyone that has problems with excess mucus and has trouble coughing it up.
