You can also find pictures of this creature in the upper right corner which you can click on to make larger.
Mulgore Hatchling is a non-combat pet granted as a reward for players championing the Tauren race in the Argent Tournament that takes place in Northrend. To participate in these events, head to the zone of Icecrown where you will find the tournament grounds in the upper right corner of the map. Since you can champion any race, albeit only those part of your faction, only Horde players may attain these through the primary method, which is to complete various daily quests in the tournament until a player accrues 40 champion seals, whereupon the may be turned in at Doru Thunderhorn. His location is coordinates (76.2, 24.4) within the tournament grounds. Alliance players will have to look to a Horde character willing to sell their Mulgore Hatchling over the neutral auction house with a significant mark up. This pet has a rare chance to fall out of a Satchel of Exotic Mysteries.
The Mulgore Hatchling is a strider companion pet, and being the only one of its kind, makes it a unique companion. It's model is pretty much the same as the various strider mobs found about the game world, with a primarily pink and black fade color scheme. It can be clicked to trigger vocalizations and when you're Mulgore Hatchling is left to idle, will occasionally preen its feathers or sprint for an instant, kicking up little dust clouds.
