Mulligans Restaurant: The Best Food in Canton, Ohio

Terra Husser Farrell
While recently visiting Canton Ohio I had the pleasure of eating at what I could definitely call the best restaurant in town. We had a large party of ten and we were able to eat in the "library". The atmosphere in the room was warm and welcoming and the server was very attentive and help full. Some places you go to with a large party you feel rushed, un-welcome and like a burden to the servers. Mulligans staff made it a point to make you feel like you were at home.

Our first course was their French Onion soup, I can not even begin to explain the depth of flavor that this soup had. I will be taking this flavor with me in fond memories. They serve it in a small crock with perfectly melted cheese, toasted bread and the soup of course. There is no where on earth that can give you a soup so perfect other than Mulligans. After we had our first course we were asked which entree we would like and I chose to have the 16oz rib eye steak medium rare. I was the only one at the table that made that choice and believe me when I say that I am glad that I didn't have to share that delightful experience with anyone. It was truly an indulgence!

The others at the table ordered everything from prime rib, tuna steak, and liver and onions. I wish that you were there when the food was served at the table. The smells were nothing like I had ever smelled before and the smiles on all our guest faces said it all. When my steak came to me it was perfectly cooked and seasoned as if a chef from cordon blue had cooked it. The experience was so overwhelming that I don't believe that I will ever be able to forget it.

After we all sat with our bellies full to the brim with the delicious food we decided that we really didn't have room for desert but...it came any way. We were celebrating two of our family members birthday my Great Grandmother and my Great Aunt. The server brought out two huge pieces of Snickers Pie with a candle inside for both of them. It was a magical moment watching my eighty six year old Great Grandmother and my fifty something Great Aunt blow out the candles. There was enough just in the two pieces to serve the entire party a large piece of the Snickers Pie we were are so full from the fantastic dinner but it was the perfect ending to the perfect dinner.

The prices at Mulligans are fair for what you are being served if you want something cheap go to McDonald's. If you want something that is worth its weight in gold go to Mulligans in North Canton Ohio near Belden Village mall. I promise you that it will be an experience that you take with you through all your years and you will be back to have dinner at Mulligans somewhere in the not so distant future. I can honestly say that I would take a car ride from three states away to have a dinner this great again. Don't take my word for it if you do not want to but I suggest not missing out on the meal of your life.

Sounds excellent. Next time I'm through Canton, I'll stop there and tell them you sent me.
