Multiple Sclerosis

Della R. Buckland
Many trying days as well as many rewarding days
Understanding what I am going through
Living as normal as possible
To walk without aid
Injections can be painful - correction, injections are painful
Putting life in perspective
Laughing when I am down
Enjoying learning to overcome

Support of friends and family
Careful of needs in planning
Learning of new possibilities
Everywhere there is help - one only has to ask
Realizing that walking and remembering are gifts
Overachieving, while great can be very tiring
Seeing joy in the small things
I have a disease that will be cured one day
Showing others the path that I struggle on
