Religious freedom
India always believed in freedom in religion, among its citizens. Indian constitution also provides equal right for all the religions. All religious festival in India are celebrated with Fun and enthusiasm and participation by all without exception, whether it is Hindus like Holi, Diwali, Dusshera, or Muslim festival like Id, Ramzan, Or Christmas, Good Friday or thanksgiving. So when the Indian society being so flexible with all religion, how come such ghastly acts of terrorism can take place. This is not the first time that India is facing with such insane, in-human acts of terrorism. Whether it is bomb attacks in Hyderabad, Serial blasts in Mumbai, attack on our parliament, bomb blasts in New Delhi, or attack from cross border terrorism. We are facing such cowardly attacks from terrorists year after year.
New form of warfare
From late 1980 India is facing a new form of warfare called terrorism. So called our friendly neighbouring countries that are providing financial, tactical, infrastructure, logistical, training, and other supports to these terrorists' outfits who are coming and doing such acts . This only shows that India is facing a new form of warfare. As Indian we have to take offence defensive policy to save our nation's soverenity, and protect ourselves. Indian society should change its soft stances.
Strengthen our intelligence
Indian intelligence has to be more active and gather information and then utilizing, decoding and taking actions in proper time to prevent such incidents. As per our former national security advisor Mr.Brijesh Mishra : we have our police force in state which is capable of gathering information and taking action. We have to strengthen street level intelligence use the intelligence to proper form and see that such acts are prevented. He also emphasized that police, security agencies and other intelligence agencies have to be more alert, and free from political pressures. No compromise has to be taken for national security and all political parties should come across and form a unity and take consensus to strengthen state as well as national intelligence network. And should not use these agencies for their petty political gains.
Mumbai Terror Attack Escalates Tensions between India, Pakistan
A diplomatic row between India and Pakistan has erupted over alleged Pakistani involvement in the Mumbai terror attacks. This soured in relations between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.
Accusations by India's top diplomat and some of its politicians of a Pakistani hand in this week's terrorist attacks on Mumbai is causing an immediate chill in relations between New Delhi and Islamabad. India's External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee has joined the voices here speaking of a Pakistani link to the terrorists who wreaked mayhem across India's commercial capital.
The minister says initial evidence points to the terrorists having Pakistani links.
Mukherjee also is calling on Pakistan to dismantle the infrastructure in that country which he says assists terrorists.
Other Indian politicians and military officials say those who attacked Mumbai came from Pakistan by sea.
Pakistan has been quick to respond, condemning such talk.
Speaking to reporters in the Indian state of Rajasthan, Pakistani foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi accuses India of politicizing the issue.
"Do not play politics into this issue. This is a collective issue," said Qureshi. "We are facing a common enemy. And we have to join hands to defeat this enemy."
In the conversation Mr. Gilani told Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh that Pakistan strongly condemns the attacks on Mumbai.
India media report that Mr. Singh asked the Pakistani prime minister to send the head of his country's intelligence service to New Delhi to exchange information about the militants who attacked Mumbai.
Mr. Singh, on Thursday, in a national address, said the operation was planned outside the country and warned India's neighbours not to provide a haven for terrorists to launch attacks on India.
My appeal
My appeal to all peace loving people and as especially to AC writers to come forward to condemn such ghastly acts of violence which has been witnessed at Mumbai. One thing that has come forward that this not a simple terrorist attack. It has been well planned ,well executed, well supported by some professional agencies. These people have come not just to attack Americans, Britons or Germans but to blow Top Hotels, important monuments and create disruptions in financial Capital of India Mumbai.
One thing is common between 9/11 in New York and Mumbai, both the places are financial capitals of America and India respectively. Both the incidents have seen new form of terrorist attacks. Both the places these terrorist wanted to break the financial stability.
I would appeal world leader especially Mr.Obama to not only to condemn the act, but see the common element in both the incidents . Change your policy, thoughts and take corrective actions, so that such acts are not repeated any wherein the world. If it can happen today in India , it can happen any where in the world. Beware if these friendly terrorist countries. Some of them have nuclear capablites, & if these fall in the hands of rouge countries, what will be the fate of world.
As per the comments of the experts it is rightly said that the terrorism to be fought by the whole country " Now or Never" or else it will lead to suicide

so very sad, you have some great points here, well presented thanks!
what an informative article you are right. how many have to suffer?
You're right to ask for condemnation, it was terrible, great article :) Sheri
So very sad. Your article is a good one and you make a lot of good points. The similiarities between 9/11 and this attack are very real.
You're right. The sad part of the whole scenario is that 911 was financed by the very stock market they hoped to destroy. This is another stab at the American economics via a different route.
Informative article and commentary.
