Sock and Shoe

John Smither
I will tell you a tale of my shoe
Not too close, it's quite a phew
I wore it often now that's true
My wife says, take that off or were through

My next tale is of my sock
Worn frequently around the clock
It peeled off solid as a rock
Disappeared one day, found floating in the dock
