Munro shoes are a brand of women's footwear that are made in Arkansas, making them one of the few companies that still produce shoes in the United States. Munro & Co. is a family owned business started in 1972 but the current woman's shoe company known as Munro American was developed in 1984.

The motto for Munro shoes is "Proper Size, Perfect Fit". What sets Munro apart from the competition is the way they fit. The Munro shoes also come with removable insoles that allow orthodics to fit in the shoes, which is a rare feature in dress shoes. Most styles also come with a steel shank for support and stability as well as a latex rubber sole that allows flexibility, has shock absorption and is slip resistant. Some styles of Munro also come with a "Dri-lex" lining that allows the shoe to breath and controls moisture.

As well as making many sizes, Munro makes a variety of styles. They range from shoes, mules, boots, sandals, dress shoes and casual lace-ups. Some are made with leather or suede and others are made with stretch fabric. Heels sizes on Munros range from 5/8's of an inch to 1 and ½ inches.

Munro styles are also easy to keep looking good. While the leather styles can be polished and the suedes can be brushed, the popular micro fiber fabrics can be wiped with a damp cloth.
