Something sweet just opened for the MGM Grand at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, Connecticut.

Munson's Chocolates recently opened its eleventh store adjacent to the Gelato Café on the MGM Sky Bridge which connects the Foxwoods Resort Casino complex to the MGM Grand at Foxwoods.

It is located in the former Bon Cibo Italian kitchenware retail store.

While Connecticut's largest retail chocolate manufacturer since 1946 has been a proud vendor at Foxwoods Resort Casino since its opening in 1992, the new store allows an expanded product line.

The store features a full selection of bulk chocolates, fudge, chocolate covered caramel popcorn, and packaged specialties.

Some of the most popular packaged specialties including gourmet truffles, butter crunch, pecan caramel patties, cordial cherries, crème brulee, chocolate covered macadamia nuts, milk chocolate pretzels, chocolate pizza slices, beer brittle, and chocolate pansies.

Some of the most popular fudge flavors include turtle, penuche walnut, peanut butter, chocolate walnut, chocolate peanut butter, and chocolate.

Many of these products have never previously been available at the casino and some of these products are exclusive to this location.

In addition to shopping, customers can view a video in the store that shows how Munson's makes their award winning confections.

Additionally, customers can visit the Munson's Chocolates Web site to watch "What's the latest at Munson's Chocolates?," "Time to Make Chocolates at Munson's," "Milk Chocolate and Hazelnut Praline," and "It's a Chocolate Assembly Line."

Awards the company has won include "Best Candy Store" and "Best Chocolates" in Connecticut.

"This is a dream come true for us today. Foxwoods and MGM Grand at Foxwoods have been incredibly supportive of our brand, and the level of support we've received form the staff and retail department is amazing," said Karen Munson, Vice President of Munson's Chocolates.

Other Munson Chocolate retail stores are located throughout Connecticut including the main store and factory in Bolton, the Green Farms Plaza in Westport, 44 Albany Turnpike in Simsbury, 3153 Berlin Turnpike in Newington, Olde Mystic Village in Mystic, 109 Boston Post Road in Orange, Evergreen Walk in South Windsor, Somerset Square in Glastonbury, Westfarms Mall in West Hartford, and Blue Back Square in West Hartford.

Hours of operation for the MGM Grand at Foxwoods store are Sunday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.
