Matteo P. Giovanditto: Murdered Thanksgiving Weekend
The bucolic town of Celebration was designed by Disney and created in 1989. It is viewed as a very safe place by its residents. Mr. Giovanditto lived in a first-floor condominium at the Idlewyld. The murder occurred during Thanksgiving weekend at the condominium where Matteo lived, notes CBS.
Call to Tip Line Locates Matteo Giovanditto's Car in Kissimmee
The black Corvette that belonged to Mr. Giovanditto was found in Kissimmee, Florida, after an anonymous call gave the information to a tip line. The death has been classified as a homicide by the police due to evidence discovered in his condominium, reports the Orlando Sentinel.
Body Left on Kitchen Floor
The neighbors in nearby condos had filed a missing person report after they noticed that Matteo had not been seen in several days. On the Monday after Thanksgiving, several neighbors and members of the association that runs the condominiums entered Mr. Giovanditto's unit. They found his corpse on the kitchen floor, covered by a blanket.
Let's hope the police in Celebration were able to find enough evidence in the condominium, such as a murder weapon, fingerprints or hair, that could help solve this crime.
Florida is a beautiful state. Many people move there after retirement or to enjoy the warm climate. Crimes like this, though, give people pause. How will this murder impact the reputation of Celebration? If the crime remains unsolved for too long, it may cast a negative light on this community.
Does the Killer Live in Celebration?
As Celebration comes to grips with the first murder in the community, there must be many questions about who the killer is. Is it someone from the community? If so, the trauma to the community over this crime will increase. It certainly adds to the horror that the murder occurred over the Thanksgiving weekend.
There is a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the person who killed Matteo Giovanditto. If you have any information about this crime, call the anonymous tip line at 1-800-423-8477.

This is such an odd little town. On a trip from Tampa to Charleston, my husband and I stopped in Celebration (bathroom break) and were both a bit unnerved by the 'fairy tale' sameness of the place. Hope they catch whoever killed the poor man.
Thanks for this report Julia!
