Murray Donuts

The moment I enter Murray Donuts...they are all calling my name. I look to the left and see the bear claw trying to get me to choose him...then I look to the right to see the holes whimpering, "Pick me...Pick me!" I look straight ahead and see my old time favorite and hometown donut saying, "Don't you cheat - take old faithful here...Boston Cream."

I am in love with Murray Donuts. Seriously, the donuts make me want to just melt. If I didn't have self control, I would probably eat a dozen every single day. I never knew Asians could make such awesome sweets. When I go to Chinese buffets the sweets are always bland and yuck. I was completely floored when I tasted the deliciousness of these.

Today, I discovered a secret. A lady came in and asked, "Do you have warm holes in the back?" Whhhhaaaaat? You can get them warm? Oh wow wow wow. They are so awesome cooled -- I can't even imagine them warm. Oh the bliss...pure .... bliss.

I want to say that I will go tomorrow to ask for the warm ones but this could turn into a bad bad obsession. I am just thankful they don't have a drive thru or I would really be in trouble. Yes, I am that lazy that the one thing that saves me from devouring the entire store is that I have to park, get my two kids out of the car to go inside to order.

All this store really needs is better coffee. The coffee is blah... it's just normal brewed coffee you can make at home. If they got some unbelievably buzzing sweet caffeine beverage, Murray Donuts would be Heaven on Earth.

Hey, we can't have it all though. I'll take my donuts and happily walk away not wanting nothing more...ummm...except maybe another dozen.
