Musharraf Uniformly

Nonchalantly changing the stance, is the uniform behavioral trait of the personality, the world knows as Parvez Musharraf, the President of Pakistan.

His uniform is the point of debate this time. The Prez has made amply clear to his friends in the US as well as to his foes in Pakistan that he is not going to keep his uniform on the hanger, come what may . He cannot think of himself without his military uniform, born soldier as he is. Nor can we imagine of you President Musharraf, without your 'second skin' aptly and perfectly metaphored by yourself. Thicker may it be even for a second skin, but that is it.

Not that you don't look dashing and handsome without that rough and well ironed uniform of yours. In fact you are more adorable in your muftis. One is immediately tempted to call you Musharraf saab, or even Parvezbhai on seeing you in your civils. But you look like a President only when you don that favorite outfit of yours.

You surprised almost everyone ,a few months back by voluntarily setting up a timeline, for shedding your much envied uniform away. Now elections around the corner( Allah only know how far that corner is) you have shocked some of them again. You have a good intention to become the elected President but that seems pretty difficult without the magical powers of your uniform. It is impossible , pardon my immodesty, boss ! In fact, it is good that you have returned to your senses, if you were not joking earlier.

Anyways, Prez, it reminded me of legendary kavach (armor) of the warrior Karna from Mahabharat, when you passionately called your uniform, the second skin. No one could kill Karna with his divine armor on his body. He was thus invincible. The God incarnate, Krishna, has to stoop to a political design, since everything was fare then also in war, to take that sincebirth armor off, literally the second skin of Karna, to kill him.

Believe me President, all these people who want you to shed your second skin off, are plotters against you. I know that you know this. If you have this blessed armor on you, dear Musharraf , your life is safe. One has to remain alive to fight elections and be an elected president. Those were the times of Dharma and Karan ,willingly, with his own sword removed his kavach, knowing well that it was a conspiracy to kill him. I am sure you will not make such mistake. You will be the president again , the elected president, Insha Allah! And once you are the president, that too in military uniform , tell me as to who can ask you any silly questions. You can again set a timeline. No big deal , it is just a matter of uniform.

This article was written and published when President Musharraf had made a decision to not part with his uniform. Under pressure from US he finally gave in.
His life is under highest degree of threat today.
