There are certain books that every musician should have in their personal library that will help further their career. It seems more and more musicians are making a very good career on the Internet. Required reading in college. This music industry textbook includes information about copyright, contracts, loans, videos, the record business, publishing, music writers and much more.

Music Money & Success The Insiders Guide To Making Money In The Music Industry by Jeffrey and Todd Brabec
This brothers are very excellent entertainment lawyers. You will find a focus on songwriting and ways to earn a living, along with information about managers, lawyers, agents recording artists. There is a lot of detail, and can help beginners to professional musicians.
