At the time the Partridge Family was popular (1970-1974), I had no idea that the actors on the show were not doing the actual singing on the records. Other than David Cassidy as the real lead singer who actually DID sing, the rest of the music was performed by other musicians and the actors just lip-synced on The Partridge Family television show. And now that I do know, it doesn't really make a difference in how much I liked and still like the music.
There are eleven songs on The Partridge Family Album CD and each song was featured in an episode of the Partridge Family television series. When I listen to the Partridge Family Album music CD now, it brings back pleasant memories of being a pre-teen girl listening to the album in my bedroom at my parents' house. I also get memories of the television series and some of the adventures that happened in the episode that featured the song. To quote the Wrigley's chewing gum commercials "It's double good" for me in regards to the sweet memories the music brings back.
The eleven songs on The Partridge Family Album music CD are:
1. Brand New Me
2. Point Me In The Direction Of Albuquerque
3. Banadala
4. I Really Want To Know You
5. Only A Moment Ago
6. I Can Feel Your Heartbeat
7. I'm on the Road
8. To Be Lovers
9. Somebody Wants To Love You
10. I Think I Love You
11. Singing My Song
The Partridge Family Album is my favorite out of all of the Partridge Family albums. When I was growing up, I listened to the album over and over again. To this day I can still sing along with most of the songs since I learned all the words so long ago. It's amazing how much fun I have listening to The Partridge Family Album music CD even now! Since I purchased the CD, I've listened to it numerous times and even made a new Partridge Family fan of my adult daughter!
I recommend The Partridge Family Album music CD for anyone who was once a fan of the television series or for music lovers who like an easy bubblegum pop tune that's fun to sing along with.
