Music and Concerts Coming Up in Royal Oak

The Royal Oak Music Theatre has hosted premiere talent on Fourth Street for more than 80 years - from movies to live performances, comedy, and all variations of music. During December, it offers only one performance before the holidays: the "Hair Metal Band" reincarnated, Steel Panther.

Resuming business on Jan. 15, rapper Wiz Khalifa takes the stage. New York folksinger/songwriter Martin Sexton appears on the 27^th, and the Israeli psychedelic trance and electronic musicians, Infected Mushroom, round out the month on the 28^th.

The Baldwin Theatre on South Lafayette is home to the acting troupe Stagecrafters, and the classic American favorite, "White Christmas," dominates its December venue. Although its website says the event is sold out, performances based on the movie by the same name are set to happen on Dec. 11-12, and the 16-19. Featuring the music of Irving Berlin and set in a World War II era to the classic strains of Blue Skies , Count Your Blessings and White Christmas , there will not only be performances, but it will also actually snow inside the Baldwin!
