Origin
This song needs a little introduction, as not everyone has heard of the band, Seether. It is a post-grunge/alternative metal band from South Africa. They are currently signed to Wind-up Records. They were originally called Saron Gas and signed to Musketeer Records in South Africa. They changed their name to Seether in 2002, with the release of their second album, Disclaimer.
Out of My Way was released in 2004 on their album, Disclaimer II, which has gone platinum. It was also used on the 2003 soundtrack for the movie, "Freddy vs. Jason."
The song was also used as the one-legged pro wrestler, Zach Gowen, who made his WWE debut on May 15, 2003.
Listen to it on my blog at http://gugiesworld.blogspot.com. It won't be up forever, as it will change every few days.
Discovery
I watched "Freddy vs. Jason" but don't really remember this song. I first remember hearing it as Zach Gowen's entrance music and it psyched me up every time he'd enter the ring with this song.
Meaning
This song has mainly one meaning for me and that's Zach Gowen. With his being one-legged, I feel a kinship based on our disabilities and brings a feeling of stubborness and never quitting.
But it's not just about him - it's about everyone that has been knocked down repeatedly in life, but never given up and gotten back up. It's about overcoming our obstacles against all odds and never say quit. Many disabled people are like this but so are many able-bodied people.
I never quit and never give up. Sure, I am a pessimist that awaits death but I won't give up until I'm dead, whenever that is. I will not quit until then and it's songs like this that keep me going - it's my battle cry - one that lifts me up during my darkest hours.
That's it until my next song - coming at you soon, Gugie Style!

I'll have to check that out. The name "Seether" sounds vaguely familiar, but can't place it without the sound!
I feel so angry and hopped up now after listening!
