Music Helps!

Lisa Wallace
Over the years classical music has been proven to help build a baby's brain. Classical music has a much deeper structure than other types of music. Babies as young as three years old have been able to recognize if they have heard classical music before. The music's complicity is what primes the brain to solve complex problems, researchers say. Playing music for your baby will expose them to many different types of music.Research was done at Stanford University.

Here are some ways to expose your child to music;

Play music for your baby while he/she is in the womb

You can sing to and with your child

Start music lessons early

And tell your child's school how important it is to teach musicThis way you can help your child's love of music at a very young age. Music improves the spoken language as well, which can lead to the improvement in learning how to read, research was done by a study at Stanford University. Researchers also say that music proves that the mental agility is capable of being changed and that the brain is not just a fixed organ in us at birth. Music is also proven to stimulate a person's attention, memory, and making predictions. Research showed that musical techniques from composers 200 years ago help the brain organize incoming information. There is still much research to be done on this topic. If music can develop or improve a person's brain, then why not start exposing babies to music early on in life? I will.
