Music Maker

Dr. Jamie Yvette

I hear love's beautiful rhythm
as I listen to your heartbeat.
I am enraptured by love's melody
that resounds each time you speak.

I have learned to value harmony -
the precious music that we make.
And to sway freely with passion
as you forgive every mistake.

Music maker, you enchant me;
you always keep me on my toes
and help me to move gracefully
through life's victories and woes.

I have learned to dance in the rain -
even when the storm seems long,
knowing a rainbow is forthcoming
as you comfort me through song.

You fill my mind with sustenance
and mend my heart with care.
Your music resonates in my soul
and will forever remain there.
