The Eye Candy Approach

Mr. New Material
Are you looking for a new and explosive way to promote your music? Sure you have the talent and your music sounds great, however; do you have what it really takes to stand apart from the rest. When promoting your music you must try different tactics in order to see what's really working. Have you ever heard of "Eye Candy" promotion? Chances are that you haven't, however I'm here to teach you all about the promotion game!

Obtaining Eye Candy

The "Eye Candy" approach is guaranteed to get you more fan and a wider range audience. What's your normal stage routine when you're performing? Do you just perform, socialize with the fans and little and go home? If that's the routine you follow for doing shows, you're doing it all wrong! The Eye Candy approach involves you having some of the most beautiful people as part of your camp. For male bands, it would be wise to have 2 or 3 beautiful women on stage with you or next to the stage. The same can be said for female artists and groups, have an excellent selection of Eye Candy to draw the audience all the way in. If you're a male band surrounded by a majority male audience, bring the Eye Candy to the front of the stage and eventually out into the audience. You may think this approach is meaningless; however, what you see is what you get! Seeing beautiful model type women will surely bring a new kind of attention to your performance.

Putting Eye Candy to Work

The Eye Candy on stage is expected to do more than just stand there! Have your beautiful selection of people interact with the crowd by passing out your CD's, flyers and other memorabilia. While a couple people pass out music, you could have one or two other people taking down a list of contact numbers from others in the industry that may be in attendance. An important thing to remember when adding the Eye Candy selection to your performance is that you must protect them. After all, they are there for you so you must not let anything happen to them. They are as much apart of your performance as you, take care of them! Once you're done with your gig, if you've got paid, make sure to give a little bit back to the Eye Candy selection, they are sure to come out next time you perform and shine again!
