Music's Prisoner

Janis I. Monroe
Hear the vigorous pulse and melodic beat
As deep inside it seeps
Through your ears
And into your blood
Stirring up hidden emotions
Causing an unexpected flood

Your body starts to quiver uncontrollably
With music's supreme toxicity
Bestowing upon you a world and its simplicity

Exotic dance moves you perform
Not lacking in any type of form
As you buoyantly dash around
Your heartbeat abounds

Now you're trapped in side a dreamy rhythm
Music's sole prisoner
It's raging amorously inside
It's far too late to hide
