Musil's Trauma

Musil's Forest

Eric Stanfield
Resisting dark memories of a childhood forgotten
She lives in a hallucination of experience
Weeping as the willows of the filling lake
Exalting sadness around a miasmas sea of memories

She unravels the clamped limbs of illicit lovers
Embracing the coldness of soiled sheets forgotten
Praying to the night, casting down brown eyes of disparity
She returns to the forest, a whirlwind of trauma long forgotten
