Must Know Methods to Scoring a Date

Skyler Raine
Picture the scene. You see a beautiful girl across the room. She is pretty, is playing with her gorgeous hair and is giving you the eye. You finish your drink and walk over. The music is loud so you decide to shout so she can hear you when you ask her if she'd like a drink. You take a big gulp of air and just as the music finishes you are caught yelling at this poor woman who may not ever hear again thanks to you. Has this or a similar scene happened to you? It has for many many others, too. Events such as these make us wary and afraid of picking people up, which is never going to find us love, now is it? So here are a few ways that you can get back out there and find the right person for you.

Confidence

If you have a confident attitude then it will be apparent. There is nothing worse than someone who is so painfully shy that they don't want to speak to you. Try to think in your mind that you will get a dance/date/drink with this person and you will be surprised by how many people say yes. A note of caution try not to be too confident as this will just come across as arrogant and cocky.

Timing

Knowing when to ask someone out on a date can be quite difficult but try to think logically. Do not ask them out if you are in a board meeting! Don not ask them out in front of a group of friends! Do not ask them when either you or they are completely drunk! It will not be a pretty sight!

Don't use pick up lines.

Instead, just start up a conversation that will allow the two of you to become comfortable in each other's company. Try not to pick conversation starters that will end in a one or two word answer. Once you have introduced yourself and bought them a drink you can begin to ask them questions that will let you into a bit more of their personality. Conversation starters could include:

- What was the last book you read/movie you went to see?

- Where would you most love to visit in the world?

- What would your perfect day be?

- What item could you not live without?

- Who would you like to be stuck in the big brother house with?

I like these tips. Even though I am corny and I like a good pick up line every now and then. They can tend to be ice breakers.
