"Must Have" Landscaping Equipment for Easier and Faster Project Completion

Before starting any landscaping project, make a checklist to ensure you have the essential landscaping equipment on hand. Doing so will definitely help you do the job faster and easier, as well as more creatively. There is hardly anything more irritating than having to stop in the middle of a project to bring in more equipment. Crucial "must haves" fall into two classifications of landscaping equipment-- the landscape construction and the landscape maintenance equipment.

Area Construction

The tools and equipment vary according to how and where it will be used. For instance, if planning to landscape an acre of land may require large trucks and loaders to move stones and soil from one place to another. Landscape building equipment can also include lawn tractors of course, and, depending on the layout, movers to manipulate gravel, stones, and other earthen materials.

Pumps are essential to create artificial lakes hills, and other additions.

The chain saw can come in handy as well. This can make a good number of changes possible -- and the difference between a nice job and a great job. With a chain saw, a landscaper can eliminate large pieces of vegetation that might be unsightly.

Landscape Maintenance

But if you are planning smaller residential landscaping, that only require landscaping smaller tools. Additional equipment used depends on the season and may consist of lawn mowers, leaf suckers, and blowers, hedge trimmers, and garden utility loaders are also key tools in setting out a landscape.

Cutters are important in shaping and forming trees and scrubs .You may also need trowels, shovels, rakes, and perhaps wheel barrows. Weed whackers will help trim corners where the lawn mower cannot reach.

A pruner with a ratchet is another good tool. This, too, cuts back the branches to clear all the unwanted vegetation and greenery. These pruners are handy when working with roses and other plantings by keep them neatly trimmed. All of the larger home improvement stores provide wide choice and selections of any of these tools and more. After shaping the grounds into shape and appearance, bring in the secondary tools. This includes lighting, sprinkler systems and other accessories.

Hoses or Watering Cans

Obviously you'll need a water hose if you have a large yard, if your plantings are all close in or near your home, then use a watering can.

Landscaping is certainly a wonderful enhancement that adds appeal to the overall curbside appearance of a home but it needs to be maintained properly. And maintenance is so much easier whether you purchase, rent, or borrow the right tools and equipment.
