Los Angeles Must See Location #1: Hollywood and Highland Center
The Hollywood and Highland Center is located at the cross between Hollywood and Highland. This center is the home to several shops and fabulous restaurants. There are also excellent places for entertainment, including Lucky Strike Bowling Lanes, Level 3 (a nightclub), the Highlands Hollywood (provides a great view of the city inside of a restaurant and nightlife experience with nightly DJ's), Grauman's Chinese Theatre (the celebrity handprints are directly in front of this theatre), and Kodak Theatre, which is home to several award shows and fantastic events.
Los Angeles Must See Location #2: Magnolia Restaurant
There are two locations for this amazing restaurant: downtown off of 9th Street or Hollywood on Sunset Blvd. This restaurant has outstanding food in a relaxed, chic atmosphere. Magnolia Restaurant is open later, which can be very advantageous for grabbing a late bite to eat. The Hollywood location is in walking distance to the Pantages Theatre, while the downtown location is in walking distance of the Staples Center and Convention Center. A celebrity-sighting is sure to be had at Magnolia Restaurant.
Los Angeles Must See Location #3: Staples Center
The Staples Center is the home of the champion Los Angeles Lakers basketball team. There are always several events going on at the Staples Center regardless if it is basketball season or another time of year. Check their website to see what events are coming up that might interest you. It is a great place to enjoy all types of entertainment and can be a great outing as well as a terrific place for people watching.
Los Angeles Must See Location #4: Pantages Theatre
The Pantages Theatre is a wonderful place to see plays or musicals. A wide range of shows can be found at the Pantages, which allows you to find just the one to fit your needs. This theatre gives every audience member a chance to see the stage in any price range. The decor is old school Hollywood and just walking around the lobby area is a fun time.
Los Angeles Must See Location #5: Philippe's Restaurant
Philippe's is a family tradition in Los Angeles, located near Union Station. This restaurant has been a unique addition to the city since 1908. Creating the first French Dip Sandwich in 1918 is quite a claim to fame. Not only is their food fantastic, but also the atmosphere makes this a must see experience. The floor is completely covered in sawdust to soak up any spill. Make sure to grab a cup of Joe while you're there. It's only 9 cents - the price of a cup of coffee when the restaurant first opened.

Post a CommentI've never been to LA. Sounds fun
Great list. #6 could be the Rooftop Bar at The Standard downtown. Fun Pool Party and on Special nights they show movies against the building across the way very different and very cool location. Right among the skyscrapers.
I'll have to check out a couple of these the next time I go visit my brother, thanks Cynthia.
I have visited several of these LA haunts! Perhaps it's time to go again, cheers :)
I was in LA briefly for a conference. Didn't get to see any cool stuff! I'll add all these places to my "Bucket List!" :)
One day, Lord willing, we may get there. Would like to see these places.
Cool I haven't been down to Hollywood in awhile.
I'll have to check out Phillipe's when I'm in the area.
