The Venture Bros. (Season 4.5)
Sundays @ 11:30pm on Adult Swim/Cartoon Network(Starts Sept 12th)
A twisted Jonny Quest spoof following the misadventures of Dr. Venture and his immature twin sons Dean and Hank. The show is enjoying the continuation of it's 4th season with episode 9 kicking off on Sunday September 12th. You can catch up on previous episodes on Adult Swim or buy The Venture Bros from amazon.com. Fans of adventure shows as children will find this show a refreshing twist on traditional super hero fiction. I never miss an episode.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (Season 6)
Thursdays @ 10pm on FX (Starts Sept 16th)
Is a sitcom feature a group of friends in Philadelphia who are self centered, dishonest, greedy, unethical, all around scumbags. They are fueled by their petty schemes and plots against one another. They can unite against a common problem, but will quickly sell one another out for profit or personal gain. It's like watching friends if it was real. You can catch up on episodes by watching Comedy Central Mondays from 9pm - 11pm, amazon.com, or their official website. I have to watch many episodes over again because I was laughing so hard the first time I missed jokes.
House M.D. (Season 7)
Mondays @ 8pm on Fox (Starts Sept 20th)
Dr. Greg House is the worlds greatest doctor with a Sherlock Holmes like ability to discern information about a person from the smallest amount of unrelated data. He works with a team of doctors on the unsolvable cases. He is also a recovering drug addict and most of his medical opinions are controversial insights based on his abilities and not medical data. This often causes clashes with his bosses and colleagues. It's a medical drama with a personality. You can catch up on the antisocial Dr. House on amazon.com.
The Walking Dead (Season 1)
Sunday @ 10pm on AMC (Starts Halloween Oct 31st)
The Walking Dead is based on the comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman. I am also an avid reader of the comic and reviewed the first six issues. The series takes place after the zombie apocalypse when the undead have taken over most major cities. A group of suriviors struggle against the living dead in order to survive. For zombie horror fans this is an exciting series because the comic is really good and we've always wanted a zombie TV series. Watch the trailer.
Modern Family (Season 2)
Wednesday @ 9pm on ABC(Starts Sept 22nd)
Modern family is an Emmy Award winning mockumentary comedy series about the Pritchett and Dunphy families. Each family has their own unique situation and problems, but all you need to know is Ed O'Neill. Married With Children star O'Neill is a riot and the main reason I started watching the show. There is a gay couple, straight couple, and O'Neill's family that includes his much younger wife and her son from another marriage. You can catch up on the first season on amazon.com and I suggest that you do.
$#*! My Dad Says (Season 1)
Thursdays @ 8:30pm on CBS (Starts Sept 23rd)
William Shatner takes on the role of father in the sitcom comedy based on the popular Twitter feed Shitmydadsays. I just can't believe that CBS might actually have a funny show, or for that matter, something good to watch. Shatner on TV isn't a hard sell to me so I'm going to watch, but I can't help but feel that CBS will ruin this like they have their network. You can watch clips online at the official website.
30 Rock (Season 5)
Thursdays @ 8:30pm on NBC (Starts Sept 23rd)
Tina Fey's 30 Rock is the smartest and funniest show on television. It follows the cast and crew of a SNL-like sketch comedy show called TGS. Liz is the creator and head writer who has to deal with her crazy cast, her boss, and of course the other writers all while running a successful TV series. I never miss it, so looks like your getting the DVR treatment $#*! My Dad Says. You can catch up on 30 Rock on amazon.com.
