MX Vs. ATV Unleashed - a PS2 Game Review

MX vs. ATV Unleashed is a great game for the PS2. It has graphics that are the highest quality a PS2 can output. There is only one downside: to unlock the more fun vehicles, you have to either play the game for a long time or use cheat codes.

MX Vs. ATV Unleashed has great graphics and User Interface. The main menu of the game is well organized and stylish. The game has great graphics too. Though the players are a bit blocky, the terrains and landscapes are amazing.

The gameplay is also great! The bikes, ATVs, cars, airplanes, helicopters, and golf carts are all easy to drive. The game will determine your skill level after you play a few races against it, and it will eventually choose a difficulty for you to play on (don't worry, you can change this if it is too hard or easy). The tournaments are fun. This is because there are a lot of tracks. There are at least 40 tracks to play on, and each is just as difficult to learn as the one before it.

The only downside to this game is that it takes a vety long time to unlock vehicles other than MXs and ATVs. A few of those come standard. You need to beat numerous tournaments to unlock the cars, planes, choppers, and golf carts. There are also more vehicles, but I won't spoil it for you.

The music for this game is also good. It is all hard rock, and it is pretty good quality. The music kind of sets the mood for the game. You sort of feel like the Hardcore Rock & Roll Music goes with the game. I have come to purchase thirteen of the songs that were used in MX vs. ATVUnleashed for the PS2. The songs only cost 99 cents on iTunes.

This game is interesting, but slow paced. I would give it a 6 out of 10. The only reason for this is the slow progression. If the game was shorter, the game would be at least an 8.

MX vs. ATV Unleashed is pretty inexpensive. You can pick up a copy for only a couple of bucks on eBay. The investment is definitely worth it, considering this game is one of the games bearing the "Greatest Hits" title. This game truly is one of the greatest hits. I would buy this game if I were you!
