Breathe No More- I was very late on this one. I first heard it when I bought the 'Anywhere But Home' DVD/CD many months ago. I was immediately intrigued by it and I listened to it over and over. I decided to find out how I missed it and I saw that it was on the 'Elektra' soundtrack. I have played this song more than any of the others now and I still love it as much as the first day I heard it, and that's what makes it number one.
Like You- This is my favorite song from 'The Open Door'. There is just so much passion and pain in Amy's voice. It breaks my heart every time I listen to it, but I love it none the less. By far the deepest and most powerful song I have heard from her.
Missing- I was so glad I bought 'Anywhere But Home' but I was mad no one told me about it having this bonus track on it. It's the song that plays in the credits, so when I heard it once again I was lost. But there was no need to look it up, I already knew it was released just for "Anywhere But Home'. I could totally relate to the lyrics and I loved the beat and the chanting in the background.
Solitude- This is such a depressing song but it's a story I'm sure most people can relate to. I love it even more now because I recently started catching up on my 'Smallville' and it reminds me so much of Clark and Chloe's relationship.
October- There's not much to say about this, I just like it. It's calming and beautiful.
Lithium- A lot of people got the wrong idea and told me this was a cover of Nirvana's song of the same title. This is false, I listened to both and they are nothing alike. I love Amy's range in 'Lithium', but then again I love everything Amy does.
Imaginary- I don't know what I like so much about this song, I just like it. I love the metaphor "in my field of paper flowers" and the term "Goddess of imaginary light."
My Immortal- Who doesn't love 'My Immortal'? It's just such a beautiful song. The lyrics, the melody, Amy's voice, everything was perfect.
Bring Me To Life- The song that started it all for me, and most Evanescence fans. This would have been much higher on the list, but I have played it out and can only listen to it from time to time now. And even then I prefer the acoustic Amy only version.
Understanding- I've always liked this song, I used to put it on repeat before I went to bed. It's just so soothing. I just recently heard the demo version and it's great too, it's much longer and has talking in it, I think the talking was from Edward Scissorhands, but I'm not sure.
