My 2008

Recap of My 2008 Year

Full review

I can honestly say that 2008 was a better year than 2007.For me 2007 was a difficult year, it was hard on my mouth, because I went through swollen gum's, and a constant infection in my mouth and I was tired of it. I had impacted wisdom teeth. Every time I ate something it seemed, my mouth would get infected. I was to the point that I was not going to eat popcorn, or anything that could get into the area where my wisdom teeth were. Luckily in 2008 I had the four wisdom teeth removed, and no more problems there.

2008 was also good because I accomplished a personal goal of mine. I am not saying what that was, but I am so thankful, I did. Now my health has improved, and I feel better than before. In 2008, it seemed like me and my husband stayed on top of our finances, which made going into 2009 better than ever. Which made me and him happier. That alone makes 2008 a very good thing.

I can say that 2008, I lost some much needed pounds, this helped my overall blood sugars, which helped my health. Yay!!! My doctor was happy, and I had a good average of blood sugars.I started writing in 2008 for a Hobie, but it later became a second income, which I looked forward to. I now know more people, and have made friends that are still here, in 2009. It is nice.

In 2008, I started a new business venture, and it has proven fruitful as well. I never imagined me in business, making extra money, just selling things I had laying around. It was interesting for me, and still proves to be.In 2008, my children got a few more achievements, I am so proud of. They have always excelled in education, but this year, my baby girl won second place in her school's speech contest. Yay. Also, my oldest daughter, was entered into the talent search by Duke University. She has been recognized for her "smarts", and her achievements in education, and on her end of year tests. She has since taken her SAT and she has been given certain scholarship potentials, and learning, that comes as part of this program by Duke. Way to go, my baby!

For my son 2008 was his first year to get official grades in school, he has done excellent, all A's so far, and he is so smart, and handsome. Way to go, son!My husband got a promotion in 2008, at his current job, and we got more money, just a tab more, but every little bit helps.

Gas prices were horrible here in USA, in 2008. Food and everything else rose in their prices as well. Seemed like sometimes me and my family were going to the"Poor House", but luckily we all survived. Good thing nothing lasts forever.2008, I learned more things, got a different car to drive, I had my wisdom teeth extracted. I also learned that people from other nations, can be my friends. I also learned that families need to stick together, and forward on, through diversity, and challenges, thru hard times, and good.

I also learned that nothing lasts forever, time slips away, and we all need to eat healthier. In 2008, I was scared of all the recalls of the pet foods, and I lost a dear cat. It was some of the hardest times, then.I grew, not only inwardly, but socially. I faced some demons in my past, and closed the door on some. I am loved more now, than ever in my life. I am happy, and as far as I know, I made achievements.

How many people can say that? I am lucky to have went through 2008.

Being a mother of three lovely children. I love to write if it will help others, and if it is read and enjoyed by others. Writing is like therapy for me. When I write my emotions come across and I believe...  View profile
