Growing up I always loved the Fourth of July because of the fireworks. Of course as I got older, I started to appreciate the history of it more and more. When my parents and I moved down to Florida, we started spending our 4th with my uncle who owns several boats. We would go out to the local marina and watch the fireworks from his lovely boat.
I can also remember when we lived up in Massachusetts, we would always invite some our friends over and throw a party and cook some stuff on the grill and shoot off endless amounts of fireworks in the middle of the street. Since we were basically in the middle of nowhere and not many cars really came through our area, there really wasn't any harm in doing this. We would all buy and stock up on fireworks through out the year so we could beat the madness during the 4th. My parents and I had a closet full of fireworks every year but we somehow managed to go through the entire closet in one night but it was well worth it.
