As I look back to when I first started on this journey, I must say I have come quite a long way indeed. I can remember sitting in my living room chair, watching football, wondering if there were any opportunities to write and make some money on the side. Little did I know I would stumble across this awesome community of writers. I didn't really know what to write about at first, but I knew two things: I loved Jesus and I loved to sing.
Most new jobs or skills require much effort in order to progress - writing on AC did not prove to be any different. As I look back at some of my old articles, I freely admit I had no clue what the term "SEO" meant, no clue how to write in internet language..heck, I wasn't even sure I would be able to write well at all! But thanks to the wonderful community here at AC and encouragements from family and friends, I have grown to understand more of these concepts and have been able to implement them in my writing - as well as learn the invaluable key shortcuts of Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V !!
As I look ahead into the future, I have no clue what's in store for my writing. I like to write about a myriad of subjects, but my passions are Jesus and singing. I hope to produce more content in those areas than any of the others this coming year. More than that, I want to produce quality content than can be enjoyed by anyone. I plan on continuing my "How To Sing Better" series and coupling it with some audio/video examples of some of the exercises. After all, singing is auditory, so being able to hear the advice is infinitely better than reading the advice (in the case of singing). I also plan on writing more articles about the Bible in general - commentary, practical application, connection, etc. I love reading this Book and writing about it too! Also, I have entered a new semester here at Appalachian State University, so I plan on writing on some topics discussed in my classes (marketing, finance, and a slew of other quality topics).
I first of all want to say that it has been a privilege and honor to write for such a dedicated community and host. The staff here at AC are warm and friendly, the Community Guides are always helpful, and the people of AC are generous in their feedback and encouragements. Of all the blind shots I could have taken in the dark, without a shadow of a doubt this was the best one.
I would like to personally say thank you to everyone who has been traveling this journey with me! I want to say special thanks to Taylor Rios, Jack Wellman, Michele Starkey, Rox B. and Abby Greenhill. Each of these contributors has had a special impact on me and my writing!
I can't wait to see what this year holds for writing! Who knows what I will learn? The bounds are limitless!
