First, with the "Offensive General" of the team, the Quarterback position. This is one of the most obvious choices and probably the easiest choice to go with. I choose Peyton Manning. His arm and subtle athleticism get overlooked, mostly because he has the best mind in the game. He prepares endlessly, understands coverages and pressure packages, and has a psychic link to his receivers. Also, because of his most recent Superbowl MVP award along with the win (against one of the best defenses in the league I must add) made this choice much easier.
Secondly, one of the most glamorous positions on the field and vital to each team's success, the Running Back position. Again, one of most obvious choices of course since he was the NFL MVP last year and he did break the Season Rushing Touchdown record. My choice is Ladanian Tomlinson. No back works harder or is as productive in so many areas. LT runs with wiggle, speed and power, catches and even throws the ball. Oh, and like I stated earlier, he can score. Along with this pick, I'm going to also choose another Running Back. Instead of a Full Back, I will just pick another Half Back. I am going to go with Larry Johnson, here. As long as Larry Johnson has two legs, you know Herm Edwards will feed him the ball. He just came off of a 400-carry season in front of a crumbling line, so these may be his last golden years.
Next, is the Wide Receiver position. These players are among the fastest and most agile players in the game. With the first pick from this position, I am going to choose Marvin Harrison. He looks like the kid, who rents the movies down at the local video store, but he's as lethal and meticulous as a sniper. He also produces in the end zone. With the next pick, I am going to choose Chad Johnson. His fantastic spped and body control make him a dangerous receiver. His understanding of defenses and pride in route-running make him a great receiver.
Fourthly, the Tight End position. They act swiftly and work undercover so-to-say. With this pick, I am going to choose none other than Antonio Gates. The toughest match-up at the position. Gates' acceleration and body control are ridiculous for a man his size (6' 4", 260), and he's lethal in the red zone.
Finally, I'm going to choose the Offensive Line. What about Steelers Guard, Alan Faneca? He is a tremendous run blocker, good athlete and great pass protector. Next, Walter Jones from the Seattle Seahawks. Walter is a tremendous pass blocker with long arms, and he sets the pace at left tackle. Walter Jones is the best offensive lineman in football. Then, Willie Roaf from the Chiefs. He's a tackle playing out on the edge, and he has more impact on the Chiefs' running game. Next, we have Steve Hutchinson from the Minnesota Vikings. There is really nothing to say about him, besides the fact he has been a part of four straight Pro Bowls and is the highest-paid guard in the NFL. Finally, with the center position. I am choosing Nick Mangold. Yes, I know, the one year player out of Ohio State, but he has good size at (6' 3" , 300 pounds) and has tremendous upper-body strength. He also possesses intelligence to recognize stunts and blitzes, and consistently makes proper line calls.
So, that concludes my All-NFL Offensive team. This team will not only succeed on the field to win games and a Superbowl, but they will also get along in the locker room to bring up morale. Check back in a few days for my selections on the All-NFL Defensive team. Thank you for your time and have a great day.
