My Aspirations as a Writer

1. I believe that I was born to be a writer, it is something that I love and find easy. All through my life I have found writing tasks enjoyable. In fact I really looked forward to doing them. The simple fact is writing is my passion and I see little reason not to make it my career as well. Being self employed and running my own writing business is something that has huge appeal to me. That kind of lifestyle is always how I imagined my life and I know it is right for me. Finally I want the satisfaction of seeing my name and my work in print with the knowledge that I created it.

First of all by taking part in this course I hope to become a better writer. Secondly I hope to gain clarity on how to approach editors and how to write different types of writing. I am confident by the end of this course I will have clear understanding on many different types of writing and will know what to focus on. I will then have the confidence to submit my work with the knowledge it is of a very high standard and presented in the right way. Even at this early stage I am excited about the course and the success my writing can bring me.

Currently I submit my writing to two websites - Helium and Associated Content, so my main hopes for the future is to find more markets. I wish to submit my work and hopefully get published all over the world. This should include both online and print media. Given enough time I hope to make a full time income from my writing. In the long term I would want to be considered a well known writer and would also at some point like to write a successful book.
