My Associated Content Goals for 2010

g christine
I started writing for Associated Content in July of 2007. I write for several content sites all over the web, plus several of my own blogs. I'm not positive that AC was the first content site I ever wrote for (it's been a long time!) but it's the site that I first started writing for on a regular basis.

I make better money on another site, but Associated Content is still my favorite, and I feel a certain loyalty. The content managers are always respectful when giving rejections on upfront payments, I like the community and the forums, and AC has always been consistent with payments over the two and a half years I've been here.

My goals for Associated Content for 2010 are simple. I want to write better articles. I've been looking back lately at my older articles, and they simply aren't very good. I suppose they're OK, as I'd never written an article before in my life when I started writing online. But much of my writing is embarrassingly laughable, and not just my older stuff.

I know I will make other goals throughout the year of course, but my main, overall goal is a general improvement in my writing. I know I can do better than what I've been doing in the past. I want to improve my general writing skills, as well as find my own writing style. It peeks out sometimes, I know it's in there somewhere, but it hasn't quite stepped out into the open yet.

Another goal I have is to start writing more consistently. I tend to write a bunch of articles all in one marathon, and then not write again for days. I'd really like to start writing at least one article per day. I think keeping up with the habit of writing daily will not only improve my self-discipline, but also my writing itself.

My final goal is to reach a million page views by the end of the year. As I sit here this moment, I have just over 300,000 PVs under my belt, which have taken me over two years to build up. It's extremely unlikely I will more than triple my page views in less than a year, especially when it took me over twice that long to get where I am at the present. But it's not entirely impossible either, and I'm going to go for it. I suppose we'll have to wait and see what happens.

I love Associated Content, it's done a lot for me, and I hope I can keep writing for them indefinitely. Here's to another good year at AC.

Thanks for the positive remarks about AC! I haven't made much money yet but I'm enjoying the site:)

Good luck with your goals. Consider joining one of my page view races.

Good luck with your goal! I have far fewer PVs than you, with almost 50,000 and would love to pass 100,000 PVs by the end of this year. We can do it!

I wish you the best at attaining your goals. I have to get some goals going too, maybe I will try to double the articles I wrote last year.

Excellent goals! Good luck and Happy New Year! :-)
