My Attempt at Tracie's Word Game

Atlanta Page
Tracy walker has come up with a fun game. She sends you 5 words, you write about what they mean to you. I was directed to this by Karen (R.K. LoBello), who wrote an engaging article of her own, and Joan(Joan Haines) . I hope I haven't forgotten anybody. Give it a try it's fun!

Endurance

When I first thought of endurance, I thought of something athletic. I'm not very athletic, but there's allot of different things in life that take endurance. Surviving your in-laws, or perhaps your own family. I smile as i write this. Then there's perhaps physical challenges or health problems sometimes we face. With me, I've endured severe pain with back problems, but endured, putting my trust in God. He's never let me down.

Parade

Who doesn't love a parade? This takes me back to Christmas parades I've attended, and Fourth of July, not to mention all the times I've watched Macy's parade on Thanksgiving mornings. Family togetherness is intermixed with my memories of a parade. Good times! :)

Debate

I love a good debate. You wont find me all upset and mad afterwards. If a person can't happily discuss issues, well , that's just sad. I do have strong opinions but when a good debate is over amongst friends or otherwise, I can agree to disagree and feel fine about that person afterwards. Some people can't do this. It becomes too personal. I think its healthy to be able to have a healthy debate.

Jewel

When I think of a jewel, I think of my husband. He is a jewel for sure. He gets up every morning and without fail makes me my favorite Chocolate cappuccino. He is always cheerful, you can find him singing even before I'm able to get my eyes open. He loves me unconditionally, is patient, and kind, always tender to my feelings. Needless to say I'm totally humbled by my jewel of a husband. He truly is my soul mate. The proof is in 2 decades + that he's been by my side. :) I love him dearly.

Hippopotamus

When I read this word I smiled and laughed inside. This word makes me think of the song we listen to at Christmas "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas",by Gayla Peevee. We hear this often and it always brings smiles and laughter in our house, lifts the whole mood when it's played. This is a very good Oldie, for sure!

I had great fun , hope I played this the way its meant to be played. If you haven't tried it , go for it!

This game is a lot of fun! Let's us get to know one another a little bit. Love your description of your 'jewel'....they're nice to have around, aren't they?

    P. S. I'm sorry about your back pain, that's the worst! And I was was intrigued that you are someone who enjoys a good debate. Me too! I like to debate with people that stick to the issues. I'm always fascinated by the way people I respect see things differently from me. I've enjoyed getting to know you better.

This was great! I love your description of jewel. I have one of those. :) And I too love the hippopotamus song, my sister in law and I have to serenade the family with it sometimes just to watch them squirm. Thanks so much for playing!

I agree with Joan. The description of your husband is beautiful. You are a very lucky woman, but from what I just read I think he would say he was the lucky one.
