My Baby is Gone!!

Poem for an Unborn Child

Jael Uribe
Nothing can be compared to the pain of losing someone you've learned to love even before it was born. A mother's feeling for her unborn child is something undeniable and has no comparison at all. The lost of a child can bring so much sorrow to a mother's heart, and there is always something unforgettable that marks her heart and that cannot be left behind.

I'm sharing this poem with you, the women that already have children. This is for you to remember to bless your kids and that there are others less fortunate women, who would give anything to have what sometimes you take for granted.

It's gone, my love, it's gone.
Like dust washed away by an autumn breeze
Just as fast and sudden as it came to me.

It's gone, my love, it's gone.
Left in my heart a never ending bitterness,
As well as the premonition of an eternal goodbye.

It's gone, my love, and left me the emptiness
In a warm less world that worth's nothing
Has left my heart colder, without happiness.

I was part of its life only for a divine moment.
And for a while I felt and important part of somewhere.
I was loved and had sunshine, a shelter, a love.

If I had to describe what it feels not to have you,
I'll tell the world there no such sorrow
Nothing can be compared to this pain; no words can erase this ache.

Now a silent shadow is over me
There are no flowers in my path
There is nothing else left in this place for me.

What have I done, to deserve this grief?
Who took from heaven my star?
Who has torn my smile apart and took it off my lap?

Where has my angel gone?
Why isn't it here with me?
Can anybody answer my questions?

Where has my baby gone? Where is it?
