My Beautiful Children

My beautiful children
all different yet the same
the love they evoke
in my heart always will remain

The oldest the planner
the stoic one
the always dependable
who can be counted on

Will he grow weary
of always having to be strong
helping the younger siblings
never allowed to be wrong

The middle son
the dreamer the writer
will he be able to keep up
he is a lover not a fighter

He is a mystery
an artistic soul who will go far
the child no one thought would do anything
one day he will be a star

The child who was
not supposed to be
the daughter
that God gifted to me

Her story
no more amazing than the two that came before
each loved and cherished
these three children that I adore
