MY BOY

Cindi Starr

I wrote this for my son when he was ten as a Valentine gift. We didn't have money for cards and candy that year. He has treasured it. For those that enjoyed his poem, "Man of No Men", that I submitted; he wanted you to know he has published a new poem here on AC. His name here is Caythros Hauff. You will love the poem. I hope you will all check it out and hopefully he'll publish more. Thanks for reading.

No candy or gifts
This Valentines Day,
It's something from heart
That I have to say.

You are a terrific little boy,
Full of energy
Lots of questions too,
You bring so much joy.

Your growing up so fast now
That sometimes it makes me sad,
My baby boy is changing,
turning into a man.

You always love your trucks,
cars, and little men as well.
Now your into computers,
And little girls some too.

You'll continue to grow, I know
But I stll hope you'll always be
That little brown headed boy,
That's very loved by me.
