My Boys: If You Haven't Tuned in Yet. Do!

SJD
My Boys is a new sitcom centered on the entertaining PJ Franklin played by Jordano Spiro. PJ is a sports fanatic and sports reporter for the Chicago Sun Times. Her life is centered on and revolves around sports and her group of guys. She'll stop anything for a game of cards with the guys or to watch the game. She is a loving tomboy who has a tight knit group of guys as her friends and who just can't win in the game of love.

The series begins with the introduction of a new guy into the group of friends by the name of Bobby Newman. Bobby is played by Kyle Howard and he becomes fast friends with PJ's crew. Quickly enough a love interest sparks between PJ and Bobby, and although they try to keep their tyrst under wraps, it is no doing with this group of friends. No sooner is the word out when things become complicated and entertaining between the two. You'll route for these two in the game of love.

Enter into the mix the best friend of PJ, Stephanie Layne. Stephanie is played by Kellee Stewart and is as lady-like and girlie as they come. She is constantly on PJ to show her more girlie side by dressing up, going on dates, and drinking "lady" drinks from a glass and not beer from the bottle. She does her best to give advice to PJ on the world of love and boys but to no avail as PJ's heart always win out and she follows her gut reaction, which unfortunately often means the unwinding of her love.

The show moves on from here, but I won't give away the secrets as that is for you to find out.

The show is wildly entertaining and both suited to guys and girls. You will fall in love with PJ's tomboy character who will remind you why the label tomboy can be so attractive and endearing to so many. Her attempts at romance and her dedication to her "boys" will have you routing for her from start to finish. You will admire her strength and her attempts at being a lady, her charisma and the support system she provides to her friends. You will laugh as she goes from tomboy to lady, but most of all you will sympathize with her as she struggles to find her way in the world of love. This is one tomboy who struggles to find an even balance between lady and tomboy. She flits back and forth trying to change herself to suit the moment. But her love for her friends wins more often than not, and you can't help but admire her for it.
