My Brother Died

Phylis
My bother died,
And my soul is ripped apart,
Puddles of lost hope pool on the floor,
And pain tortures my heart.

Tears flood my eyes,
I wish they'd wash away the pain,
But right now I feel hopeless,
Like I'll never be happy again.

"Stay busy," my friends say,
"Time will surely heal."
But I think it will take a lifetime,
To change how I fee.

I may become stronger,
But my heart will never mend,
My life will never be the same,
The pain will never end.

I give you five stars and more for such a tender poem about immeasurable loss. I am very sad for your loss and hope that you are doing all right today.
