My Cardinal Friend (Haiku)

This haiku is dedicated to the beautiful cardinal that lives in my family's magnolia tree. He flies back and forth between the tree and our kitchen window. My feathered friend pecks and flutters there several times a day to make his presence known.

My cardinal friend
Pecks at my window each day.
A lovely presence.

    I love cardinals! I enjoyed them in our backyard in Indiana, but there aren't any in Las Vegas! : (
