My Cat is Human

One of Many Cat Tales of My Black Cat 'Beauty'

Sondra C
I have a black cat and I swear my cat is human. Each morning after my cat eats she nags me until I give in and follow her. She wants me sit on the club chair with her on my lap and watch television. Her 'meows' get louder and louder until I obey her! I wonder what my cat would do If I did not push her off If eventually? I think my cat would remain there all day.

In the morning when my cat wakes me up, she knows what room I am going into first -this is why I say my cat is human. My cat is the first one there. While I read my email, she sneaks into the adjoining bathroom and takes care of her liter box business.

The bathroom is next to the computer room. We usually meet outside our respective rooms at the same time. I often wonder how my cat knows this? I know that she does not wear a watch. That is why I know that my cat is human.

The kitchen is the next stop. She stands there intently staring at her water and her food bowl until I give her fresh water and cat food. This is the daily morning feeding schedule. My cat does not even allow me to have my juice and take my pills until she is fed. I wonder who is the boss in this house? Me or my cat Beauty?

I feed my black cat canned cat food, although she has a bin of dry standing at all times. If I give her a new type of canned cat food, I keep my fingers crossed that my cat will eat it. Many times my cat sniffs and looks at it, turns around and runs into the living room. She sits and stares at me for a long time until I give in and throw it out.

I ask you, 'who is the boss here' me or my cat? The answer is only to obvious.

All this time, I still have not had my orange juice, toast and coffee. My cat is human I know she is. I wonder who I knew in the past that was as much of a nag as she is?

But I love my cat and I melt, especially when she puts her face to mine and kisses me. Boy! she knows just how to get to me. My cat is the boss and I am her slave and she sure knows it. When she gets mad at me, my black cat could sit in front of me for hours without looking at me. Yes! my cat turns her head away in anger. It is me, who has to beg her forgiveness. You would think that 'she' was the one paying for the food.!

It is obvious for all to see, who the boss is of this household. No, it is not me..I am merely her house slave!

Here is the way that I found out that my cat, Black Beauty is human.

My cat does not allow me to cut her nails. I cannot even take her by surprise and cut them. She watches my every mood. If she sees me going for the cat nail cutter, she quickly leaps off my lap. She leaves behind a trail of smoke she runs to hide so quickly

My cat hides in one of a set of boxes that I made for her that I keep in front of the patio glass door. She loves to watch the squirrels and the birds in the back yard. I have to coax her to get out of the box. She plays 'mad' for awhile.

Well back to the story I wanted to share. I had to cut my cat's nails, and she would not let me, so I drove to the drugstore and purchased that emery board cat scratching pad.Yes, I was one of the suckers who bought it. It lasted in my house exactly an hour before I had to return it.

It came with a stick and a feather to insert in the frame for the cat to play with. The moment she tried to play with it, it fell to the floor.

My cat hated the nail pad. It was too hard for her to scratch on. It was not the usual cardboard cat scratch pad that she is used to. However, she fell in love with the small feather. Can you imagine my paying $20.00 for a small feather? Yup! I felt the same way and began to wrap it all up and get a refund.

I could hardly believe my eyes! My cat was sitting on the feather, obviously hiding it from me. She did not want me to return the feather and made it clear to that she liked to play with it. I burst out laughing. All the time she was sitting on the feather and watching me intently. My cat is human.

I ask you. Is this the usual reaction a cat has when she likes one of her cat toys? She did not care a bit when I wrapped up the cat toy - it was the twelve inch feather on a stick that she fell in love with,

I am merely my cat's slave. She rules me and I obey. My cat is, without a doubt, the boss of the house!

Do you have a story about your cat to share? I have many more but waited to long to write them down and sadly, I forgot most of them.

There is no way that a cat owner can be lonely even when they live alone. There is always something to do. The best part is when the cat snuggles with you and falls asleep while you are watching T.V.

Hehe, I know exactly what you mean about cats. Other pets tend to be the same way. Anyone who says they don't think, feel, love, etc., must not have ever lived with one!
