My child
you are sleeping now
you are so still and quiet now
I wonder what you are dreaming of now
you are sleeping now
you are so still and quiet now
I wonder what you are dreaming of now
Your soft curls sway as the wind gently blows them against your face
Your lashes long and curled caress the tops of your cheeks every time you blink
and even now as you sleep
Your lips are so plump and so pink they pucker when you eat
and even now as you sleep
The most perfect face I have ever seen.
I long to take you in my arms and hold while you sleep
But I dare not wake you selfishly
How could this be
How could something so perfect have come from me

Nice poem. There's nothing more peaceful than a sleeping child. I could watch mine forever!
