My kitchen is the best place in the house
While I'm stirring up in the kitchen, my husband is sleep on the couch
The kids are playing and the dogs have taken a seat
Everyone knows it won't be long before we all eat

Red beans, white beans, green peas and bread
Hot sauce, smoke sausage and a little cornbread
My kitchen serves each guest with TLC
Once in the kitchen you don't want to leave
My kitchen is what keeps everyone at peace
It's a heavenly place when the world has no more seats
Here I can find things that will put a smile on everyone face
I guess this is why my kitchen is the place.
