You are gone and it's okay,
You were in pain and it's better this way
I know you are safe in heaven with God, so high

I miss your support and your kind advice.
I miss your hugs and your smiles of light.
You deep green eyes always so full of hope.
Your soft, strong voice always in the know.

I know you are flying with the eagles above
or soaring on a cloud made of hope and love
perhaps you're flowing with the gentle stream
or shining in with the glorious suns, bright yellow beam.

When the first tomato in my garden, grows red on the vine
Or as I taste the first sip of my homemade wine.
I know you will be there, watching over it all
While smiling and saying, you made the right call.

I know I will feel you blow by on a warm, summer nights breeze
or maybe see you in the Colorado snowflakes when they freeze
Perhaps in the raindrops of every soft spring rain
Or maybe I will hear your voice, when the church bells ring

Right now, on Father's Day I know you're not here
but I know that you will always be looking on, from somewhere near
Watching over me and all the ones that you loved so much.
Sending down your love in nature's gentle touch.

You are in my heart forever, always to stay
and no matter how much time goes by, that can't ever be taken away!
