My DNA Fragrances Announces Scents Based on Celebrity DNA; Can it Be for Real?

Joyce Carole
Perfume companies are always on the lookout for ways to make their product unique. Different scents, unusual containers, magical marketing campaigns and celebrity endorsements. The company, "My DNA Fragrance" may have come upon the most unique idea of all, scents based on the DNA of deceased celebrities. The concept is part of My DNA Fragrance's "Antiquity" line of fragrances.

What is MY DNA Fragrances?

My DNA Fragrance is a perfume company that creates unique fragrances based on a person's unique DNA. The process for doing this does not appear to be disclosed. When I tried to click on the company website, I received a broken link message. I later found out that My DNA Fragrances is hosted on the website PSFK.

Which Celebrity Fragrances Can We Get?

According to an article on Gather some of the celebrity fragrances that are planned for the line include fragrances for celebrity icons: Michael Jackson, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley. Some of the more interesting celebrity scents include scents for physicist and mathematician, Albert Einstein and former US President, Richard Nixon.

What Celebrity Fragrance Would You Like to See?

First let me say that I am very skeptical about how "My DNA Fragrances" is able to make these antiquity celebrity fragrances. The company has not disclosed the process and it certainly sounds a bit sketchy. But let's just say that they are able to make a scent based on the DNA of a celebrity, which celebrity scent would you want. If I was to pick a celebrity scent my top choice would be Audrey Hepburn. You just don't get any classier than Audrey, especially in her "Breakfast at Tiffany's" role as the stylish and mysterious, Holly Go Lightly. If you could capture a scent that would make me feel as elegant as Audrey Hepburn I think I would buy it.

For men there are quite a few that would be interesting. Perhaps Clark Gable, Jimmy Stewart or maybe even John F. Kennedy would provide inspiration for a scent. I could certainly see a market for a fragrance based on the DNA of JFK before a fragrance based on Richard Nixon.

Whether "My DNA Fragrance" is real or not, remains to be said. The one thing we can say is that it is an interesting concept

The site was fully functional within hours of the broadcast once the bandwidth was adjust by our service provider.

Exclusive is a bespoke fragrance created for each individual based on their DNA genetic code. Please note that the Antiquity collection was launched briefly in November 2009 as a collectors fragrance and is no longer available. interesting indeed. I highly doubt it it's on the up and up but I love your choice in what scent you'd like, really says a lot about you, and it's saying "class".
