Realizing that I am a hopeless romantic, and that maybe I always was but never wanted to admit it.
Failed in embodiment of logic
Awareness of so much more
Intensity in emotion prevails
Reasoning evaporated like fog
Yearning to embrace this dream
Tomorrow brings a new chance
Always felt love was not for me
Longing now to feel its sting
Ever worth it, even through hurt
Still wanting to believe in fairy tales

Very nice work!
Never quit believing...
Jolynne, love your acrostic!
We've all had dreams of fairy tales. Some get lucky and live the dream. Some don't. I'm in the latter catagory.
Nice work.
nice one
Life isn't always about fairy tales, that's for sure. But it makes me more optimistic to believe they can happen, too. Beautiful poem, Jolynne. :)
I admire your openness and transparency for all the world to see the hurt. It makes us closer to you to know that you have nothing to hide and only to wear your heart on your sleeve. Even so, wish we and I could put some salve on the heart that seems to be breaking.
Beautiful...!
Love is eternally revealing
:-) Richly honest.
