My Dublin

Susan Green
On the rolling hills of Dublin

The grass stands tall and green

Reminding me of simpler days

A lad who used to dream

Of other lands so far away

I could not wait to go

For I was just a restless boy

So little did I know

Yet here I stand, the years have past

And I have now grown old

On the rolling hills of Dublin

Now the story can be told

Of a restless boy

Who would make his way

To a land so far away

For a dream once had

By a poor young lad

Would bring him back one day
