My Encounter with a Demon Spirit

Cheryl Williams
I have always believed in the paranormal, and over the years I have had my share of experiences in that realm. Most of my experiences were relatively harmless. One was with a poltergeist, and a couple of my experiences were from the angelic realm. My most frightening experience, however, was with a demon.

Around 10 years ago, during a particularly spiritually active time in my life, I had a close encounter with a demon. Why this evil entity chose this time to attack is still unclear. My own feeling is that since I was feeling particularly close to God and to my husband at the time. Satan felt threatened in some way and chose to fill me with fear.

It happened during the middle of the night. My husband and 3 small children were also in the house sleeping. I woke up to go to the bathroom. When I crawled back into bed, I snuggled up to my husband and whispered, "I love you, Honey." Immediate, a loud growling voice came from down the hallway. In a mocking tone it repeated what I had said: "I love you, Honey".

I froze in fear. The room had grown cold and I could feel the presence of evil. My husband was still sleeping. With every ounce of courage I could muster, I said "In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, leave this place." Immediately, I felt warmth return and the presence of evil leave.

For days afterwards, I would feel a rush of fear come over me whenever I walked down the hallway. I was afraid that the evil presence would return again. I wasn't sure what it wanted, but knew that it could not be good. One day, it dawned on me why the evil presence was mocking the words I had whispered to my husband. The presence was making fun of our love and telling me that it would one day be destroyed. It was telling me that our spiritual relationship with God was not enough to keep our love alive.

I have not heard from the demon again since that day. Some people do not believe this story when I tell them, despite the fact that I am a very level headed person who is not prone to imaginings. I wish it wasn't true. Hopefully, such an encounter will never happen again. It was truly the scariest thing that has ever happened to me.
