My New Etsy Shop: Ideology

Ideology: Handmade Bracelets and More!

Britt Baker
I have been browsing the Etsy shop for quite some time, and enjoying the beautiful handmade items and artwork. I've even purchased some handmade goods from Etsy's shops. However, for quite some time, I've wanted to have my own Etsy shop, and now that I finally had enough inventory to open my shop, I did it. On October 15, 2010, I opened my Etsy shop: ideology. I started my shop with 11 items, all bracelets I made from handcrafted glass beads, in a variety of colors and sizes.

I decided to start out my shop with bracelets, since I enjoy making them and had more of them to sell than any other handmade creations of mine. However, in time, I would like to add additional types of handmade items, such as additional jewelry and paintings. I've been passionate about creating ever since I can remember, and I'm so happy that I am able to finally share my work with others through my shop, ideology, on the Etsy website.

I priced all of my handmade bracelets made with handcrafted glass beads at $15.00, but I decided to have an opening sale to spread the word about my shop. So, I have put all of the handcrafted glass beaded bracelets for sale at $10.00, or $5.00 off each bracelet. I am optimistic about my new experience on Etsy, even though, unfortunately, I don't have a good digital camera to take photos of my work, and thus, the pictures are quite blurry. However, the glass beads are quite beautiful and unique in person, and I hope to get a camera soon that will do them justice.

Etsy is a wonderful platform for seller's of handmade goods, and I am thrilled to have finally opened my Etsy shop, ideology. I'm looking forward to connecting with other sellers and lovers of handmade items, as well as adding additional items to my ideology shop. You can see my ideology Etsy shop here.
