My Experience at the New Harry Potter Attraction at the Island of Adventure Theme Park

A month ago I traveled with my family to Orlando for our annual vacation. I was extremely excited bout traveling the Island of Adventure because it had the new Harry Potter section. I wondered what could this attraction that cost over one hundred million to build. This would be my first time actually visiting the Island of Adventure so I had no idea what to expect.

After a four hour drive we arrived in Orlando. The hotel where we stayed was about 10 minutes from the theme park but the traffic was slightly congested. After paying almost six hundred dollars for all of our tickets we finally made it through the front gates on our way to see the Harry Potter attraction. As we slowly walked up on the black castle which might I add is an exact replica of the one that is seen in the movies I became almost more excited than my two children. The first place that we went was a small theatre where a magician performed all types of amazing magic tricks. After leaving the magic show my kids wanted to see about riding on the famous Harry Potter train that is often seen the movies. To our disbelieve there was no moving train but only a stationary train that let out steam every few minutes. Now they did have some ride that we could not tell what it was because the wait in line was over two hours long. The Harry Potter attraction did not meet up to my expectations. On all of the advertisements it appeared to be much larger. If you take away the crowd factor it probably would take you only 25 minutes to walk through the entire attraction. Now people who are Harry Potter enthusiast will most likely have nothing but admiration for this new attraction at the Island of Adventure. I enjoyed myself while I was there but overall in my opinion the Harry Potter attraction in Orlando, Florida is highly overrated. I am sure that Disney could have invested its money in something a little more appealing than that.
