My Experience with TurboTax Online

I started using Turbo Tax to prepare my tax returns in 2006. I had looked online for weeks trying to find software that was easy to understand and that wouldn't break the pocket book! I finally went onto my state website, www.michigan.gov, and they gave out a link to TurboTax Online. The reason I chose this link was because they gave free tax preparation for families making incomes less than $50,000 with two children. Not only did they prepare federal income taxes but they also prepared state income taxes.

I was pretty excited to start my tax return, the last time I did it on paper the IRS called because I accidentally put in a wrong number! The website was easy to log into and to create a new account. After creating my account they took me step by step to fill in the paperwork. What was even greater was that they looked for extra savings for me, for free! Turbo Tax also added up my return amount in the top corner while entering in information, so I always knew whether I would owe money or receive money without having to look somewhere else! After completing my information, I printed out my copy and sent it in. The second time, in 2007, all I had to do was enter my information and then electronically sign, no printing needed! They even save your previous years information into their database in case you need to look it up in the future. You can also download the tax information into a file for you computer or a portable device driver so you can save it permanently for the future.

Turbo Tax software is very easy to understand. If you have trouble finding the information they ask you for you can also click on the help button and they will take you step by step to show you where to locate the information. This is by far one of the best tax preparations that I have ever used. It was quick and convenient and very confidential. I have three years of information saved on their website and on my computer, in case something happens, so I don't need to worry about whether the tax papers get ruined or lost! I would recommend, and have recommended, Turbo Tax for tax preparation uses!
